ACAT KZN - Helping rural Africans deal with Poverty, Malnutrition and HIV.

Buyisiwe Florence Mkhize, joined the ACAT programme in 2024 with her G5, Siyaphambili, in the Sjoti area. Previously a working individual with no experience in gardening, Buyisiwe credits the programme with introducing her to vegetable cultivation and savings.

Despite initial challenges, including lack of fencing, she’s successfully grown her own vegetables and is now exploring ways to expand, including growing seedlings for her neighbours and using pots. Buyisiwe’s journey highlights the programme’s positive influence on her life and community.
