ACAT has developed 5 series of support material

• Adult Basic Education and Training Levels 1 to 4 (in the learning areas of Language; Numeracy / Mathematical Literacy; Applied Agriculture; Agricultural Technology; Management and Entrepreneurship; Food and Textile Technology; Life Orientation; and Ancillary Health Care). These materials:
  • Are learner-centred;
  • Are outcomes based;
  • Have continuous assessment exercises;
  • Are relevant to learners’ lives;
  • Encourage learners to apply the knowledge they have gained in solving problems;
  • Use simple language to explain activities;
  • Contain illustrations which assist learners to understand concepts.
