Babhekile Mapini from the Chagwe Zone in Vulindlela had always dreamed of planting her own vegetables, but she felt held back because she couldn’t afford to put up a proper fence. However, after attending the Basic Life Skills training in April 2025, she was encouraged to use whatever resources she had – and she did just that. Using available materials, she managed to create a simple fence and now has a beautiful small garden.

This success has greatly boosted her confidence, and she is now excited about growing even more. Babhekile also mentioned that she really enjoyed learning about the relationship with God during the training, which brought her peace and renewed purpose.
