Gabisile Chiliza demonstrates the great improvement she made after joining ACAT’s programme. In the first picture she stands in her tuck shop business, and in the next, she shows the blocks she has bought. She says: “Before I joined the Programme I just depended on the government grant. Then, ACAT opened my eyes! Like most group members, I started with a vegetable garden. And used the profit I earned from my vegetable garden to open my Spaza shop. Then I joined my Savings and Loans Group, and that has helped me save money to buy blocks to improve my home.”
