Thembeka Mhlongo says she just needed something to direct her towards a better life. She found this in the Basic Life Skills training. She started a garden where she and her family eat from, thus saving them money. She also now has rabbits, which she plans to sell as part of her income generating strategy together with selling different types of cakes which she bakes.
